Rich Homie Quan Parting Ways With Rich Gang

Rich Homie Quan took a break from touring in Canada to return to his hometown of Atlanta.

While in the ATL, he stopped by Hot 107.9 to speak with “The Durrty Boyz” about what he’s been up to and his upcoming musical endeavors.

During the 13-minute conversation, Quan reveals that he has chosen to “step away” from Rich Gang, the Cash Money assembled collective, comprised of Young Thug, Quan and Birdman.

“I got too much good music that these people want to hear,” Quan says. “I have been focusing more on myself. I’ve stepped away from Rich Gang, just to get back to Quan. These people want Quan.”

“It’s cool for the moment,” he adds. “I ain’t lost in the sauce.”

Fans initially expected for Rich Gang to release the follow-up to last year’s Rich Gang: Tha Tour pt. 1 mixtape. Instead, Rich Homie says he’s working on a new mixtape that will consist of all original music.

“Its been so long since I dropped a mixtape,” he says. “I want to give em’ the Quan they know…I feel as if I can’t lose. This new sound honestly, I feel as if I have me a Grammy and that’s on everything.”

      1. No, OP was right. Quan was probably getting tired of being ignored for Young Thug. Do you always bash people who leave Birdman, even when it was on good terms?

      2. Birdman isn’t going to appreciate the fact that Quan left like the easily impressed bitch he is. At least young thug ain’t going anywhere.

      3. Are you dumb? Quan wants to go solo and do his own thing. I’m sure Birdman would understand. You need to unattach your lips from Birdman’s dick.

      4. It’s the fact he’s leaving birdman to be solo when he could be a solo act on cash money. What a bitch. And Rich Gang was only getting started too

      5. So? He was never signed to Cash Money in the first place and he left on good terms. Is that good enough for you, you ungrateful ass?

      6. That wasn’t on good terms you dumb fuck. And Anon, you’re right. Quan leaving RG isn’t the end of the world as birdman can just find someone else. It’s Quan’s career that will be over.

      7. It was on good terms as he never said anything negative about Rich Gang at all. RHQ never had a career in the first place. But hey. At least Birdman will have Young Thug all by himself and they can share many romantic nights with each other lol.

      8. He never said anything positive either. He never thanked birdman. And birdman isn’t gay. How is he gay? Unless you are projecting desires like you did (and lied saying it was me)

      9. Point out to where in his statement did he praise birdman. AAnd Birdman only kisses his sons. Fathers and sons do it all the time.

      10. He doesn’t kiss his son. And even if he did, it’s gay. Fathers and sons don’t kiss each other at all because that’s gay. You see two random men in public kissing and you assume they’re gay. There’s no way around it, so quit beating around the bush?

      11. I never implied that homosexuality is a bad thing. I just stated the fact that two men kissing is gay. But hey. If kissing men is part of your lifestyle, good for you. Also, Cash Miney won’t on, it will crash and burn.

      12. I never said I lived the homosexual lifestyle. Birdman kissing his sons isn’t gay. My teacher taught me that fathers and sons kissing is the circle of life.

      13. You implied it though by saying two men kissing isn’t gay (which it is). Birdman kissing a grown ass man (who isn’t his son) is gay. Your teacher lied to you. Fathers and sons kissing is not circle of life, it’s creepy incest. Don’t diminish a great film like the Lion King with your bullshit.

    1. I hope dude gets blackballed in the long run. He indirectly helped dismantle a great label, then in the end doesn’t pick a side.

      1. Also, the dude should be more than just blackballed, he needs to get shot 50 cent style. Not to death but up to the point where no hiphop label wants him.

      2. Cash Money is already dismantling hip-hop into pop music. Plus, wishing harm on other people. I hope karma bites you in the ass.

    2. I can’t say dude was the most talented one (in my opinion, Young Thug and him are on the same footing for different reasons) but I can say that if it gets more music from the Rich Homie Quan I’m all in. You guys get so angry about allegiances and shit its embarrassing. I just want more music, and from a pure music perspective (not just lyrics), RHQ is the better of the trio.

    3. I would never leave Cash money, because either way I look at it, I’m leaving Ca$h Money feel me$? you think anybodys gonna give a fuck about rich homie quan after he leaves cash money?

    4. He’s now known as Poor Homie Quan. Guy didn’t make a single dolla off Birdman. Birdman laughed when Dequantes asked to go solo. Birdy was like, you just ain’t that good bro. I was there.
