Rich Homie Quan took a break from touring in Canada to return to his hometown of Atlanta.

While in the ATL, he stopped by Hot 107.9 to speak with “The Durrty Boyz” about what he’s been up to and his upcoming musical endeavors.

During the 13-minute conversation, Quan reveals that he has chosen to “step away” from Rich Gang, the Cash Money assembled collective, comprised of Young Thug, Quan and Birdman.

“I got too much good music that these people want to hear,” Quan says. “I have been focusing more on myself. I’ve stepped away from Rich Gang, just to get back to Quan. These people want Quan.”

“It’s cool for the moment,” he adds. “I ain’t lost in the sauce.”

Fans initially expected for Rich Gang to release the follow-up to last year’s Rich Gang: Tha Tour pt. 1 mixtape. Instead, Rich Homie says he’s working on a new mixtape that will consist of all original music.

“Its been so long since I dropped a mixtape,” he says. “I want to give em’ the Quan they know…I feel as if I can’t lose. This new sound honestly, I feel as if I have me a Grammy and that’s on everything.”
