One of the most shocking moments in Hip Hop during 2014 was the infighting between Lil Wayne, among others, and label boss Birdman.
It is still publicly uncertain what Wayne’s status is with the label. His forthcoming album, Tha Carter V has been pushed back numerous times with no certain release date in sight.
Recently sitting down with Vlad TV, Rich Gang’s Rich Homie Quan was asked if he knew anything about the situation. He confirmed that he did but said it’s between Birdman and Weezy.
“Me and Birdman talked about [Lil Wayne’s] situation but I’m not going to put y’all onto their business or whatnot,” he said.

“We had words about it. Other than that we can’t do nothing but move forward… I’ve got nothing but respect for Wayne he’s still my big brother regardless. Bird’s still my uncle regardless.”
The Atlanta native also spoke about artists he has been working with recently, which includes Drake and Wayne himself.
“Oh yeah, we’ve got a brand new remix coming out,” he said when asked about recent collaborations. “Wayne got me on the “Grindin” remix. I have worked with Wayne, I have worked with Drake. I have yet to work with Nicki Minaj… Drake will be on my album.”
