Snoop Dogg may not be the only real-life rapper set to appear on Empire.

The series’ director, Lee Daniels, recently told Hip-Hop Wired that 50 Cent has been calling him to get on the show.

Despite reports that 50 feels Empire is a knock-off of his Starz series Power, Daniels says 50 made that judgement without watching an episode.

“Oh 50, he didn’t even see the show,” Daniels told HHW. “I just talked to him two weeks ago and he said was gonna come guest star. He’s just trying to start some mess.”

The rapper engaged in a brief social media-feud with Taraji P. Henson after the actress responded to one of her followers on Twitter with a witty remark: “I pay attention to $’s NOT cents?”

But 50 has since ended the quarrel. He told Access Hollywood after the Golden Globes that he can’t beef with Taraji. “I’mma lose,” he said. “I have too many friends on that project to not want to see it do well.”

He then named Terrance Howard, Timbaland and Daniels.

“That’s what I love about 50,” Daniels told HHW. “He’s just trying to get viewers [to watch] Power.”
