After legendary Tribe Called Quest rapper and producer Q-Tiptook to Twitter yesterday to write an extended Hip Hop history lesson aimed at Iggy Azalea via Tweets, the Australian rapper’s mentor and unofficial steward T.I. responded with his own Tweets last night (December 21).
“You have to take into account the HISTORY as you move underneath the banner of hiphop,” Q-Tip wrote yesterday in a barrage of Tweets all with Iggy Azalea’s name attached.
T.I. granted authority to Q-Tip’s position but also came to the defense of some white rappers and Iggy Azalea in particular, writing, “not all white people out to steal our culture..”

Azealia Banks quickly responded to T.I.’s Tweets and wrote, “I’m REALLY starting to realize how indoctrinated and conditioned T.I. is. And I don’t think I should tease him about it anymore.”
