The 2013 Video Music Awards turned out to be quite the momentous occasion for Tennessee songster Justin Timberlake as the former NSYNC crooner won “Video Of The Year” for his Floria Sigismondi-directed “Mirrors” music video and was also honored with the “Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.”

Other artists nominated for “Video Of The Year” included Bruno Mars (“Locked Out Of Heaven”), Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (“Thrift Shop”), Robin Thicke (“Blurred Lines”), and Taylor Swift (“I Knew You Were Trouble”).

As part of his “Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award” performance, Timberlake performed nearly half a dozen solo records before reuniting onstage with his fellow NSYNC bandmates to perform “Girlfriend” and “Bye Bye Bye.”

Timberlake’s “Video Of The Year” VMA serves as yet another accomplishment for the singer this year. In March, his solo album, The 20/20 Experience, sold just shy of one million records in its first week and upon its release, the amount of requested The 20/20 Experience streams were nearly too much for the digital music service, Spotify.
