Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” Hip Hop Album To Feature Doug E. Fresh, Travis Barker & DMC

In the hopes of remedying the childhood obesity epidemic, First Lady Michelle Obama is continuing to promote her “Let’s Move” campaign and even has plans on releasing a Hip Hop-inspired album in support of the health and fitness campaign.

According to BallOverAll.com, the Let’s Move album will feature a handful of Hip Hop notables including DMC of Run DMC and Doug E. Fresh as well as acts like Travis Barker, Ashanti, Jordin Sparks, and Kidz In The Hall emcee Naledge. It is unlikely that the project will include any singing or rapping on behalf of Michelle Obama.

First announced well over three years ago, the “Let’s Move” campaign was created to solve “the problem of obesity within a generation” by “combining comprehensive strategies with common sense.”

Since its creation in 2010, the “Let’s Move” campaign has garnered the support of numerous celebrities including Master P and Beyonce, the latter of which is featured in the campaign’s “Move Your Body” flash workout video.

    1. NO.

Hip-hop has always been about “FIGHT THE POWER” and standing out to me. When we started kissing the Obamas’ asses around ’08 is when hip-hop started dying…we had lost our purpose. As you’ll see with the drone strikes, NSA investigations, the extension of the Patriot Act (which VP Biden wrote), and us involved in THREE more wars…this is sick.

As long as the GOP and the Democrats are in charge, America is screwed. It’s time for an INDEPENDENT leadership.

      1. Unfortunately, I don’t see an Independent president winning anytime soon. With Super PAC’s somehow still being legal, anonymous donors can give their candidate however much money they want. It’s a way for corporations to line the pockets of a candidate to buy them off on whatever policy.

The media is bought and paid for as well, so they won’t give any air time to someone who’s not part of the machine.

Grassroots campaigns for independent thinkers virtually stands no chance against the masses. It’s a game of cards with a loaded deck. Until there is some sort of revolution, nothing will change. They’re all puppets.

    2. WTF? Pass the Rock f/ Iman Schumpert

Suck the president’s dick, give some inspirational speeches and stay the fuck away from hip-hop Michelle!
