Chris Brown’s legal woes seem to continue as the R&B crooner may in fact face battery charges stemming from a parking lot brawl with fellow singer Frank Ocean, which took place at the top of the year. According to XXLMag.com, Brown will head to court later today (June 10) for a probation hearing, but it’s up to the judge to decide whether or not the January incident will be brought up.
Ironically, in early February, Ocean announced via a Tumblr post that he would not press charges against Brown.
“I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace,” the Channel Orange singer revealed.
It’s unclear what legal repercussions Brown could face if battery charges are filed. Unfortunately for the Virginia singer, today’s hearing comes just weeks after he was involved in a hit and run accident that’s currently being investigated.
