Over the past few years, Cypress Hill has been keeping fairly active with 2010’s acclaimed Rise Up and last year’s collaborative dubstep EP with Rusko. Now, in a recent interview with Montreality, the group’s front-man B-Real announces that the California mainstays are preparing a new album.

According to B-Real, the Soul Assassin crew is in the early stages of recording a new album, the tenth in their twenty-plus year career. He also revealed that he’s gearing up to drop a new solo mixtape and album as well.

“[There will be] another Cypress Hill album, definitely. We’re in the works for that,” he announced. “After these tours are over, after we’re done with that, we’re definitely going to go down and head over to Muggs’ studio, chop it up with him, and figure out what we’re going to do on the next album. And for me, a solo thing, that’s definitely gonna come. I’ll probably do a mixtape first just to warm it up again, just because I haven’t put a solo album out in a while.”
