Mystikal, ScHoolboy Q, Mac Miller & Hopsin BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher

Mystikal, Mac Miller, ScHoolboy Q and more participated in this year’s 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Rocking colored contacts, Hopsin took the spotlight with a greasy, emphatic verse after Sprite’s winner. ScHoolboy Q gave a subdued verse that included a shout-out to Kendrick Lamar and his upcoming debut good kid, m.A.A.d City.

Mac Miller ended his verse with a hilarious quip, rapping, “Even Lord Finesse will tell you I’m ill.” Mystikal cleaned up with the last 16 of the cypher, dropping some noteworthy rhymes.

    1. what the fuck.. this was fucking horrible beat.. i know its a cypher but damn.. everyone had horrible flow, did not stick to the beat at all..

    2. Hopsin is nice but i cant listen to him cuz he sounds too much like old em. mac was surprisingly nice, schoolboy high-guyed it lol. mystikal was just….ew, cmon man just retire or somethin smh

    3. They all did good.

Hopsin almost always impresses me. As an artist, I just wish he would do his own thing officially and stop collaborating with SwiZzZ (or whatever his name is) so much. But I hope this introduced him to more people around the world.

Schoolboy Q’s flow is so addictive to me. Boy cold! He rode that beat like it wasn’t shit.

Mac Miller was good too. And Mystikal was great; witty and made me laugh.

    4. Only note worthy verse’s in here were Mac’s and Hopsin’s. Maybe Schoolboy Q, but Mac’s complexity and Hop’s raw style took it away.

Whenever I see Hop he gives that presence, similiar to an Eminem presence. His style is the style I love when I listen to raps, the smart ass/outwitting everybody type of feel to it.

As for mac, he went so hard. Complexity at it’s finest. I do have to say I liked Hop’s more, but thats Just a personal preference based on his style of spitting.
