Nate Dogg To Perform At Coachella As A Hologram

Dr. Dre is making sure he pays homage to Nate Dogg during his headlining set with Snoop Dogg at Coachella on Sunday.

According to TMZ, Dre will project a hologram of the late singer onto the stage alongside him, Snoop, Kurupt, Warren G and Daz Dillinger to make it seem like he’s actually performing with the crew. Sources say that Nate will perform several songs during the set.

The hologram technology was previously used for Mariah Carey‘s European concerts last year. The hologram allowed her to perform in five different places at once.

Though unconfirmed, Eminem is also rumored to appear during Dr. Dre’s set this weekend, according to a post that was removed from Warren G’s website.

    1. WTF??

They taking this technology shit too far, In a year from now I bet they’ll have a Micheal Jackson/Whitney Houston Hologram world tour

      1. You know what I mean? I’m surprised at the technological ignorance on here. LMAO. “… taking this technology shit too far…” Brilliant. Read a book. Or even a properly sourced website article.

      1. They could do one called “Deceased” and include Pun, L, Big, Pac, ODB, Grym Reaper, Eazy E, Cowboy from Grandmaster flash and the furious 5, Proof, and Heavy D. You people are stupid.

      1. Dre actually did make a donation to Nate’s medical bills, he just didnt run around to the media and brag about it, but Nate’s Fam mentioned it in an interview when he passed away

    2. OHHH SHITT, YOU CAN DO THAT??? The future is here! That’s some Jetsons type shit. Do 2pac and Biggie too.

    3. NAte would have definitely been down with the icy movement! this is not a game people. next to be, this man is the GOAT. illest rhymes. we would have made some dope music together. CRACK
ICY MOVEMENT DOGG POUND YMCMB OVOXO

      1. we all know those 2 comments were from you as well icy idiot. Dont quit your day job if you are depending on that “icy movement”. your music sucks. period.

    4. That sounds weird. Rapping next to the image of a dead guy. Why don’t they just get an impersonator? Half the crowd will be drunk anyway. They won’t know the difference.

    5. Wack let the legends rest in peace. Wanna pay homage do it like Up In Smoke and play tracks like All About U, Cali Love, 2 Of Americas Most Wanted etc. I don’t need to see holograms and you don’t need a image to pay homage to the fallen legends you need music.

    6. Man i swear. It’s like you bitches wake up and go on the internet looking for some shit to bitch and complain about. How is it disrespectful if his closest friends and his fans get to see him on stage again? Even if it is fake, it’s no different than a video of him on a jumbotron. All yall sound like little bitches. RIP Nate Dogg

    7. Biggie Tupac Jimmy Hendrix Big L John Lennon Gangstarr Hollogram concert…
      “Tech-techa-tech-techa-tech technology”

    8. I figured they’d get around to this jetsons bullshit eventually, just come get me when the flying cars go up for sale

    9. hmmmm this is pretty weird yet interesting idea, i would like to see it in action tho.

      1. Do you know what a hologram is??

Its basically a computer generated image, like the lil girl in “Resident Evil”, lol, They might as well bring one of Eazy & Pac while there at it, do one of Roger Troutman for California Love

        SMH

    10. mayne –

Why would any of Nate’s friends or family want to see a fake image of him up on a screen? To me, that would be utter disrespect. Show clips of his music videos on a screen. Have people talk about their favorite Nate collabo stories, and maybe perform them with a substitute rapper, but hologram images? That’s some low budget wackery.

    11. See thats dope for this shit damn! But if they started doin that for tupac or cats like thatd itd be boriong, ure not gonna be like “YEAAAHHH!” when its just an image, and not a true Pac
