Hit-Boy Says G.O.O.D. Music Compilation Will Feature “Amazing Music”

Hit-Boy was recently in London, England with Kanye West and the G.O.O.D. Music crew to work on the label’s compilation album. Speaking with Complex.com, he recalled kicking it in the lab with Mannie Fresh, Frank Ocean, Jay Electronica, Pusha T, Big Sean, John Legend and Marsha Ambrosius, and how the vibe in the room inspired some cuts.

“[I don’t know if Jay Electronica spit a verse], I was just in my room working on a bunch of ideas Kanye wanted me to do. I really didn’t get to come up there. But Pusha spit a gang of verses to my beats, so did Big Sean, Kanye, and John Legend,” he said. “I know Marsha got on a couple of my beats and did some hook ideas. We were all just bouncing stuff around. Mannie Fresh actually had the room next to the room I was working in. We was bouncing ideas. There was a bunch of creative shit going on with the most talented motherfuckers in the world.”

Hit-Boy said that the crew has more work to do on the project in the next few weeks, but that he promises it will be “quality shit.” “That’s the genius of Kanye, he knows how to put all those people in a room. You can’t have an ego with person like Kanye around. It’s going to be some fly shit and you are going to have the opportunity to make money off it.”

    1. I never like putting high expectations for any LP. But then again this IS Kanye motherfuckin West we are talking bout.

      1. I didn’t like 808s either. but I respected that Kanye wanted to be experimental. I guess little did he know he would be one of the catalysts for that dumb auto-tune craze

either way he’s a workhorse in the studio, so got good expectations

      1. ^what does that have to do with anything though. not agreeing with kev but does being rich give you more of a right to be a shitty person or something? you sound like one a typical bitch ass nigga. putting rich people on a pedestal like they are entitled to shitting on you because they have more money than you. only a clown ass nigga tries to compare wallets when they cant defend themselves morally.

    2. This album will be a classic. As far a compilation albums go it’s hard to make a bad one. Looking at the roster of producers to the vocals and creative direction this will be insane. A couple of solo tracks, maybe a skit or two. This album will be a masterpiece.

      1. and to my fellow anonymous above me, you just became a hypocrite answering him with that statement. Ignore the dumb fuck. Everybody, please just ignore the dumb fuck. He’s jacking off to “how to love” right now..

    3. I’m hoping these tracks on the album turn out to be G.O.O.D. Friday v2.0. Shit is going to amazing either way though.

    4. Remember the time that Wayne and Drake said they wanted to fuck every girl in the world and then they actually got to do it? That was awesome! Good job guys!

    5. lol. Kayne West tryna Copy Lil Waynes We Are Young Money CD. be original Kanye! you wont sell a milli first week. dats Waynes privilege, not yours fag. swag

      1. Know the history, label collaboration albums been in the game. aka “The Dynasty: Roc La Familia” roc la fella’s album but they change the name to jayz to get album sales. It is just a trend in hip hop now.
        o yea fuck lil wayne

    6. People shoud not compare this compilation to Young Money’s. Young Money’s compilation was total but everytime you here the G.O.O.D. Music gang genius songs come out (e.g. So Appalled)
