Lil Wayne’s latest album Tha Carter IV has been certified double platinum after three months in stores (via HHNM).

The RIAA certified the album, which neared a million copies sold in its first week, on November 16th. Though the LP has shipped more than two-million units, TC4 has only actually sold 1,700,000 copies.

Tha Carter IV, released on August 29, 2011, features guest appearances from Drake, Tech N9ne, Cory Gunz, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes and more, and has also spawned the singles “6 Foot 7 Foot,”“She Will” and “How to Love.”
