Ice Spice Levels Up Career By Signing New Deal With Powerhouse Talent Agency

Ice Spice has announced she has signed with major talent agency WME, leaving her current representatives CAA.

According to Variety, the move will see WME (William Morris Endeavor) look after the rising Bronx rapper in all areas including music and touring.

She joins an impressive music roster which already boasts Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Pharrell, Future and Travis Scott, among a number of other A-listers.

WME also bolsters Ice Spice’s well-connected team which includes manager James Rosemond Jr., the son of infamous gangster Jimmy Henchman, producer RiotUSA, the son of Hot 97’s DJ Enuff, and labels 10K Projects and Capitol Records.

2023 has represented a banner year for the “Munch” hitmaker who has collaborated and performed with Taylor Swift, released two songs with her favorite rapper Nicki Minaj and served as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.

She also won Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist at the BET Hip Hop Awards and Best New Artist at the MTV VMAs, and is up for four awards at the 2024 Grammys including Best New Artist and Best Rap Song (“Barbie World”).

Ice Spice recently responded to claims that she is an “industry plant” because of her fast ascent.

“A lot of people have thrown that in my face — like ‘Oh, I’ve never seen anything happen so quickly. She needs to be studied,’ or ‘She’s a plant,'” she said in an interview with Variety.

“I just let people believe whatever they want to believe, to be honest. I don’t really mind all the rumors. At first, I did, but now I’m at a point where I understand that just comes with this lifestyle.”

Earlier this year, the 23-year-old admitted she cried when she first met one of her heroes Nicki Minaj.

“I was, like, nervous to get there,” she recalled while chatting to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “Once I got there, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m chilling.’ But then I heard her, like, say something, and then I got nervous.

“When she hugged me, I started crying… I cried, but I walked away. Like, I didn’t say anything to her. I just feel like, ‘Bro, like just the journey.’ You know, I love Nicki, and meeting her was great and everything, but for me, it also just mostly felt like, ‘This is a full circle moment.’”

    1. This talentless Ronald McDonald industry plant 15 mins about to expire.

    2. I never understood the whole “industry plant” argument. Isnt it a record labels job to find and promote rappers ? You only see this term used in music. You never hear someone call a rising Hollywood actor an industry plant. Use of the term just displays ignorance and jealousy.

    3. And for the record, I still think Ice Spyce should win an ug-lee-ist rapper of the year award. She look like a cabbage patch kid for real.

    4. So apparently this site uses an algorithm that wont let you type this particular female rapper’s name and the word “ugly” in the same comment. But if you go to a Lil Wayne article and post “Lil Wayne is ugly” the comment posts with no issues. As for her, you gotta mispell her name to put the word “ugly” in the same post. You can tell whoever programed this site is a democrat.

    5. And now they delete most of my posts. Why does this site defend this ugly hoe. Ice Spyce is ugly yall never seen garbage pail kids movie ? She would fit right in.
