Ice Spice is among the biggest stars in the Hip Hop game right now, yet she’s also a fan of the craft and her contemporaries.
During an interview with Bootleg Kev that was published on Saturday (June 29), the 24-year-old rapper talked about her admiration for Cash Cobain while discussing music that she is into at the moment.
“Cash really has my attention right now,” she began. “I’ve been listening to him a lot. It’s really his time, so he’s mostly who I’m a fan of right now.”

Ice Spice is gearing up to hit the road in support of her forthcoming debut album Y2K, and she’s bringing fellow Bronx native Cobain along with her.
Set to commence in Denmark next month, the 24-date world tour will cover a few festival dates in Europe. Soon after, the “Deli” hitmaker head back to the United States to perform in major cities such as Philadelphia, New York City, Atlanta and more before wrapping up in Miami this August.
At the start of June, she unveiled the release date and cover art for her debut album. The image features her standing against a street wall tagged with her name in graffiti, with a custom subway sign and Y2K-branded trashcan also in the shot.
In the post’s caption, she revealed the album will be released on July 26.
Ice Spice has been in album mode for quite some time now, having releasing “Pretty Girl” with Rema, “Think U the Shit (Fart),” and the Sean Paul-sampling “Gimmie a Light” over the past few months.
Additionally, she elaborated on the project during a recent interview and credited her mother with inspiring its nostalgic, turn-of-the-millennium theme.
“Thankfully, I had my mom, so growing up I’d see her really embody the Y2K aesthetic in its truest form,” she explained in an interview with Zane Lowe earlier this year. “It’s duck nails, it’s a tramp stamp. It’s brown lip liner no matter where you go. So thankfully I had her as my inspo growing up. And of course, just like the internet, you feel me? Just like anyone else.”
Cash Cobain makes that straight up terrible non rhyming auto tune music. Straight trash.
*Farts*
1. She has no clue what a good rapper is. This clown sounds like every other trash autotune rapper using those same played out flow.
2. She is an industry plant thot who makes trash music.
3. She look like a bootleg Ronald McDonald
