Hurricane Chris Catches Early Break In Shooting Trial Thanks To Forensics Expert

Hurricane Chris has caught a break in his upcoming shooting trail, after the judge permitted a forensics expert to testify on the rapper’s behalf.

In June 2020, the “A Bay Bay” rapper (real name Chris Dooley) was arrested after fatally shooting a man who allegedly tried to steal his car (which turned out to be stolen) outside of a convenience store in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The officers who were called to the scene discovered a man with gunshot wounds to the chest, hip and stomach. The man was rushed to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The rapper claimed that he fired in self-defense — something officers dismissed after security footage from a gas station reportedly showed otherwise.

Hurricane Chris, who was also charged with illegal possession of the stolen 2016 Mercedes Sedan, is set to appear in court on February 1 for an argument and hearing date, with the main trial due to start on February 13.

On Wednesday (January 18), after appearing at a court hearing for Chris, the Shreveport native’s lawyer Alex Washington shared some new details from the case with The Shade Room.

According to Washington, a judge ruled that forensic analysis experts would be able to testify on behalf of the rapper and support his claims that the June 2020 fatal shooting was in self-defense

“Hurricane Chris’ actions were in self-defense and justified,” Washington said in a statement. “Today, the court ruled to allow our Forensic analysis expert to testify at trial.

“He will allow the second expert to testify once we provide a written report to the State. Both experts will assist in proving that Hurricane Chris actions were reasonable and justified. The February 1 date will clear up any small issues.”

Chris has been out on bond since posting the $500,000 just two days after his arrest. He has maintained his innocence and asserts that his “name will be cleared.”

“Hello world, hello world, hello world,” he said in a video after posting bond. “I’m sure you got the news by now. I was involved in a very unfortunate incident on Friday morning, a very unfortunate incident. I wanna thank everybody who’s been praying for the family of the deceased and everybody who’s been praying for my family.

“After a good, thorough investigation, my name will be cleared. Let God work, watch God work. God bless. Thank you.”

      1. The fact you have to ask that shows your stupidity. You don’t understand brazy and you don’t understand why someone would be driving a stolen car if they have money. Are you even a hip hop fan? Got to be one of the dumbest mother fuckers I’ve seen on this site and that’s saying something considering 75% of the people on here are beyond stupid.

      2. “75% of the people on here are beyond stupid.” In other words what you’re saying isevery three out of four people here are black.
