House Of Pain’s Danny Boy Involved In Road Rage Brawl

House Of Pain rapper Danny Boy fights pedestrian in road rage incident.

Katt Williams isn’t the only celeb breaking out the fists this week. According to the New York Post, a road rage incident involving House Of Pain’s Danny Boy, left the musician in handcuffs.

The website reports that Danny Boy, real name Daniel O’Connor, was in the passenger side of his friend, an off-duty NYPD lieutenant’s vehicle when it rolled through a stop sign in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and almost struck pedestrian, Steven Cooper.

In response to almost being mowed down, the man threw an object at the car.

At that point, Danny Boy and the driver of the vehicle jumped out of the car, a 2016 Buick Lacrosse, and the rapper punched Cooper in the face. A brawl then broke out and the off-duty lieutenant was struck in the face, during the melee.

“The off-duty lieutenant was attempting to defuse the argument and, in doing so, was punched in the face by Mr. Cooper, causing pain and swelling,” NYPD spokesman Sgt. Brendan Ryan said, according to the New York Post.

As a result of the raucous incident, Danny Boy was charged with assault.

    1. I was there and the man that was almost ran over by Danny Boy and the cop was being struck my Danny boy and pushed by the scumbag cop who if was a legitimate police officer and not a corrupt officer he would have tried to contain Danny boy who acted like a punk slob. He’s a real tough guy hitting a guy a third his size. This is typical NYC police behavior. Protect their own, not the victim. Cop only produced his badge when the police came otherwise he would of continued roughing up the victim who by the way never threw anything at the car. All he did was say to them that he walks his daughter on that route and he should be more careful at which time they all jumped out and began to attack this man who was minding his own business

    2. I would be road raging as well if I had to drive a god damn Buick. Yuck! Doesn’t get worse than that.

    3. Riding around with a cop? Isn’t that frowned upon by peers in the rap community? Danny Boy a rapper?/NO, more like mid level hype man, never spit more than two bars on any track (those were probably written for him). I supported this guys career for 20 years just to have a personal run in with him and realize he is a PUNK- way outta touch from the streets.
