Sandman’s a super dope emcee and one of the best hip-hop artists in the game right now. Unfortunately, the skills he process; being articulate, erudite and voluble are like Kryptonite to most modern fans. So, unless he dumbs down and makes his music attenuated to placate the mindless masses, he’s unlikely to shift many units, regardless how superior his music is compared to awful Drake, Wayne, Wiz, 50 releases. That’s real shame, and it’s the reason most mature B-Boyz are ambivalent about the art-form we once cherished.
I agree with your comments. Still I think its better for Homeboy to keep it real than sell out with weak shit, ie keep the artistic integrity. Otherwise everything gets reduced to junk. I’ve seen him in NYC spitting many times, dfntely a killer flow and real dope MC. Thank god for MC’s like him
So this guy thinks he is going to make “hot songs” that aren’t about the “usual” shit? Dude couldn’t make a hit if his life depended on it. Wtf is a hot song? Some bullshit that a bunch of backpackers think is good?
a hot song is whatever the person who makes the music likes and thinks his fan’s will like
Stones throw from what i had herd from listening to some of there artist work there is know reason for Sandman to dumb down anything. Sandman will continue to do what he dose best be himself and make good music
don’t worry about Sandman dumbing it down. I had an amazing conversation with the dude and he’s all about the music he could care less about getting rich off of Hip Hop and moving units. He does it for himself and his fans. if someone is turned off by his style he don’t care that’s their problem. he despises commercial rappers
Can you help me please, who sampled Audible Doctor in Canned Goods.
Help pls
thanks
