Hip Hop Singles Sales This Week: Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, Bobby Shmurda

In its 24th week on the chart, Iggy Azalea’s Rita Ora featuring “Black Widow” claims the #1 spot yet again on the Digital R&B/Hip Hop singles charts this week. A YG feature on Jeremih’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em” single helps displace Nicki Minaj’sAnaconda” at #2 while Bobby Shmurda reclaims his #4 spot after falling two spots last week.

    Iggy Azalea Stays At #1

With a 14% drop from last week’s sales, Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora’s “Black Widow” single still had more than enough to keep it at #1 for yet another consecutive week. In its 24th week on the chart, “Black Widow” sold just short of 90k while bringing its total tally to just above 1.5 million.

Meanwhile, Azalea’s even bigger hit, “Fancy,” has yet to lose its Top 10 edge, falling from the #9 to the #10 spot this week. “Fancy” has sold 3,723,410 units to date with an additional 25,477 this week alone.

Jeremih And YG Reenter The Top 3

Jeremih and YG’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em” sold almost the same amount as last week, the 76,109 sold this week representing a one percent increase, but had enough copies bought to finally displace Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” single from #2. “Don’t Tell ‘Em” has sold 848,414 singles in total and continued to rise in its 18th week on the list.

    NIcki Minaj Falls To #3

Nicki Minaj’s Sir Mix-A-Lot inspired single lost its #2 spot with a 15% drop in sales from last week. “Anaconda” sold 75,662 this week (down from 89,132 last week) and broke the one million singles sold mark in the process. Now with 1,024,941 of the single sold, Minaj also lays claim to four spots further down the list, assisting R&B singers Trey Songz, August Alsina, and Usher at #19, #34, and #52 respectively. At the same time, Minaj’s previous release “Pills N Potions” hung on at #73 in its 20th week on the chart, now having sold a total of 605,924.

      1. New classic? LOL she cant even go gold without a release. That is the real problem with POP rap.

Nicki s smart enough to release pop rap but also REAL rap songs too.

      2. “she cant even go gold without a release.”

what does this even mean? No one can go gold or platinum without releasing an album first…

      1. Who are you the internet A&R know your place punk & stop acting like a Spanish grandmother searching for something to complain about. Enjoy music & sit your punk ass down. Hip Hop should have never made it to Nebraska

    1. Guess what? Heaven is real and theres a lot of bitches to fend off, so get going guys. Hope you all find your way. Especially the mad ones they really on a roller coaster.

    2. No one cares about single sales in the rap game. LOL

      Did y’all post those already?

    3. Iggy may not beat nicki when it comes to album sales. But she sure as heck beating her by a landslide when it comes to singles sales.”Fancy”and “Black Widow”.Finally somebody dominating that ratchet ho of a rapper nicki minaj.God bless you iggy.Female rap needed and wanted another force in the game besides ratchet nicki. Can we just say that the competition is on and may the best lady win.And yes I am team Iggy.Tricks!!!

      1. Good move of iggy, to re-release her album with new tracks because her album was released before fancy blew up and she went mainstream, so now she has more eyes on her and what she’s doing, re-releasing the album is genius and I read somewhere it’s releasing the same week as the Prink Print. The battle of the female emcee’s, May the best lady win.
