There are a few changes to the R&B/Hip Hop single sales chart this week. Despite holding on to the top spot, Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” experienced a fall in sales while Silentó saw a significant 27% increase for his “Watch Me,” meaning next week there could be strong competition for #1. Elsewhere, the past seven days saw Omarion, Flo Rida and Rihanna all fall out of the Top 10 while Meek Mill’s “All Eyes on You” and Janet Jackson’s “No Sleeep” debut at #5 and #6 respectively. Lastly, Jidenna’s “Classic Man”—which was recently remixed by Kendrick Lamar—experienced a massive 41% increase in sales, subsequently climbing from #12 to #7.
Wiz Khalifa Remains At #1 Despite Fall In Sales
Despite a 17% drop in sales, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again” remains at #1 this week selling 98,065 units. Thanks to this week’s sales, the song has now sold more than three million units since its official release.
Silentó Climbs To #2 With “Watch Me”
After hitting gold status last week with his single “Watch Me”, 17-year-old Capitol Records rapper Silentó has hit another milestone this week as the single moved from #3 to #2, overtaking Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen.” “Watch Me” sold 97,432 units this week taking his sales total to 614,127. With Silentó experiencing a 27% increase in sales this week and Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” falling by 17%, the young Atlanta rapper could come in at #1 next week.
Fetty Wap Falls With “Trap Queen”
Weighing in at #3 this week is Fetty Wap’s hit single “Trap Queen.” Despite experiencing an 8% fall in sales, the Paterson, New Jersey rapper still sold 80,046 units over the past seven days, taking his total to 1,882,015 since the record’s release.
