Hip Hop Single Sales: Drake, The Weeknd & Alessia Cara

    There are a few changes to the R&B/Hip Hop single sales chart this week with The Weeknd climbing back to #2 after slipping to #4 on last week’s report. Elsewhere, Missy Elliott’s Pharrell-assisted single “WTF (Where They From)” falls to #10 after suffering a 64% decrease in sales and lastly, Silentó’s “Watch Me” comes in at #9 after a few weeks away from the Top 10.

    Drake Stays Rooted To #1

    For a sixth consecutive week, Drake’s “Hotline Bling” lands at the top of the chart having experienced a slight 2% increase in sales. The single sold 84,060 copies during the seven days leading to November 26, taking its total sales since its official release to 1,500,633 units.

    The Weeknd Jumps Back To #2

    Despite falling to #4 on last week’s report, The Weeknd returns to #2 this week with his single “The Hills.” The cut experienced a somewhat unexpected 42% increase in sales during the seven days leading to November 26, resulting in a total of 69,684 units sold during the said time period.

    Alessia Cara Holds On To #3 Spot

    Alessia Cara remains at #3 with “Here” this week having sold 53,101 units during the seven days leading to November 26. The single has now moved 635,728 copies since its official release.
