Ha! I actually remember a time in which the best music sold the most. When Biggie and Pac were dominating the charts in the early 90s. When N.W.A. was dominating the charts in the late 80s. When LL and Run DMC were dominating in the mid 80s. All the way up to the late 90s were Jay-Z and Nas dominated the charts. Even Cash Money was hot but from then to now, I’m not sure what happened. It’s like in today’s Hip hop everything matters EXCEPT for the actual music. Musically Carter IV is not platinum worthy but it went. Neither was Nicki Minaj’s album but thats for a whole nother discussion seeing as she’s Pop but you get the point.
