Have you been waiting for Kanye West and Skateboard P, Pharrell Williams to rhyme on a track together? The wait is over. Last week K and P joined forces to make a video for Number 1, which is Pharrell’s newest single. Expect Kanye on a guest starring role as the two show off some of P’s BBC line. Williams’ album, In My Mind was slated to drop in February of last year; it may now see light of day in June. Nothing has been finalized as of press time.
DMX is also ready to release his latest LP Year of the Dog, Again. It will be comprised of songs that were originally meant for a Def Jam release and some new material as well. The tentative first single is Lord Give Me a Sign which is currently getting some spins around the country. X may finally release this one in August.
J Menace has a new album coming soon as well. His new LP, World Champion Since 1977 will be released on Prince Charles Music Group. So, what can fans expect from the rising star?
“I sound like nobody, my sound is universal. So in other words, you never know what I will do on a track,” he says on his web page. The Georgia native’s album is expected to drop this summer.
