Kelly Rowland has collapsed on stage yesterday during a a performance in Lagos, Nigeria.

Twenty-six-year-old Rowland who recently released her sophomore album, Ms. Kelly on July 3, was in the country as a part of ThisDay Music Festival.

Her spokesperson confirmed that the singer suffered a fainting spell as a result of dehydration.

“She was taken to an undisclosed local hospital for a check-up and is in good condition at present,” she said.

The former Destiny’s Child member is on a plane flying back to the U.S. today and plans to continue promoting her new project.

This Thursday on 106th & Park, Diddy will be premiering a new video for “Through The Pain.” While it sounds like an average video, the kicker came from an unnamed source close to Bad Boy that the video is actually a personal message to ex-girlfriend Kim Porter. The video is reportedly about the pain he is currently feeling since the breakup. Whether the video is bashing Porter or simply a form of apology has yet to be determined.

EPMD, OutKast, UGK, Eric B. and Rakim. All names of legendary Hip Hop duos. Now, the World Rap Championships, presented by Jump Off TV is looking for the next great tag team in its second two on two tournament.

Three hundred rappers across 8 divisions will participate in more than sixty hours of rhymes over a 5 month season for a chance to win a place in the $50,000 play offs in Las Vegas.

The tag team battle will take place at several secret locations across the world in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Toronto, London and Melbourne ( Australia ).

Last year’s competition drew nearly a quarter of a million visitors, who voted on their favorite emcees. This year, with added features such as statistics on each emcee, and a fantasy league, Rap Championships is expected to draw one million visitors.

Harold Anthony, format co-producer of the World Rap Championships says that, despite the popularity of the emcee battle, the main stream has done nothing to enhance the art.

“Rap battles are one of Hip Hops most exciting elements, yet mainstream shows like Wild n Out, Yo Mama and The White Rapper Show have done nothing to contribute to the evolution of MC’ing.  Genuine hip hop fans don’t want gimmicks, they want whats real, so via the internet we can bypass the major networks and broadcast directly to a global audience,” he says.
