A New York City judge tossed out a $3 million invasion-of-privacy lawsuit filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs and Vibe magazine after a woman claimed photographs of her were published without her consent.
Vibe originally ran pictures of a topless Maria Dominguez partying with Combs, Howard Stern, Moby and Heavy D at his annual White Party in 2006. Dominguez issued the suit on the grounds that the photos were “disguised advertising” for Bad Boy Entertainment, and she never granted permission for the pictures to be made public.
In a written dismissal, Justice Doris Ling-Cahan cited a long-standing public interest statue, stating, “Sean Combs and his renowned annual White Party are subjects of tremendous public interest, attracting the steady attention of the public and many news organizations.”
Tuesday, Superior Court Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane ordered T.I. to increase his monthly child support payments to $3,000. Earlier this month, LaShon Dixon, who has two sons with the chart-topping rapper, lobbied to have her $2,000 per month payments increased [click to read].
In addition to the increased support T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, will share joint custody of his two children with Dixon. Under the previous agreement Dixon was granted primary physical custody of the boys, ages 7 and 8.
