Jermaine Dupri was among the top honorees during the 20th Anniversary ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Music Awards at 25th at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. Dupri shared the Songwriter of the Year Award with Mary J. Blige and Jonta Austin. Nelly’s “Grillz,” which was produced by Dupri, was recognized as the Ringtone of the Year. In addition to being one of Billboard’s top selling ringtones for 2006, the single peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Pop 100 and spent 30 weeks on the charts.
