Benzino and business partner Dave
Mays lost ownership and total control of The Source. However,
that hasn’t stopped the duo from releasing a new magazine. In a partnership
with former Vibe Editor-In-Chief Mimi Valdez, the duo plan on
releasing Hip Hop Weekly October 16.
According to Media Week, the magazine will have weekly
distribution of 100,000 and will be available for $2.99. Expect the price to
rise after the initial release, though.
For the release, Weekly has received submissions
and contributions from radio personalities such as Wendy Williams, and Star and Buc.
In other news, The Clipse are back to their
old ways. Hell Hath No Fury has been
pushed back once again. Recently, it seemed they would finally release their
long-awaited LP, but MTV reports the album will not be released on the
scheduled Halloween release date.
Nevertheless, the duo is filming their next single, Wamp Wamp’s video soon. The album is now
rumored to be released in the final month of 2006.
