Gunplay has shown his appreciation for his friend and former label boss Rick Ross by buying him a flossy new chain — but the gesture has left fans scratching their heads.

The Miami rapper took to Instagram on Monday (June 5) and posted a video of him approaching Rozay, who was laid down in bed with no shirt on, to gift him an iced-out “Anml Shltr” chain. The “Anml Shltr” slogan is representative of Gunplay’s lifestyle as an artist and person.

“I just wanted to get you something, man, as an appreciation my brother,” Gunplay told his former MMG label boss as he handed him the piece of jewelry. “Just for everything, man. Just for being a Bawse.”

Gunplay heaped more praise on Rick Ross in the caption of his post, writing: “Gave my big brother a token of my appreciation for believing in me when nobody did, cared when nobody did, gave me an opportunity when nobody did, I love you forever my brother thank you!!!”

Fans flocked to the comments section in bewilderment for two reasons — one being Gunplay’s priorities considering he and his wife started a GoFundMe earlier this year to cover their daughter’s medical bills following her emergency heart surgery.

“I’m so confused. Had a GoFundMe for healthcare but buying a grown ass man so jewelry???? Talk about fucked up priorities,” one fan wrote, while another angrily remarked: “BOY REFUND DAT GO FUND ME MONEY’ cus u using it wrong.”

Others couldn’t help but comment on Rick Ross lying shirtless in a bed while being presented with the gift.

“Ross laying in bed like your mom when you getting her purse for her,” one person joked, while someone else added: “A, Aint gone lie…Meet me in the living room big dawg lol..lemme know when you wake up. I aint given you [shit] while you lying down I the bedroom my guy.”

An additional person attempted to bring balance to the debate over Gunplay’s brotherly gesture by commenting: “I mean No disrespect to all asking why he gifted his brother a gift to show his gratitude. Maybe tings changed and he’s able to afford this gift. Let’s not try to read into this, instead let’s celebrate two kings living in love.”

Gunplay also performed at Rozay’s car show, which was held at his Promise Land estate in Georgia on Saturday (June 3), and was seen hanging out with Meek Mill.

Prior to the event, Gunplay put DJ Envy on blast by posting a phone conversation where he demanded an apology from the radio host for bringing up his daughter’s GoFundMe page.

While engaging in his car show feud with Rick Ross, Envy condemned Rozay for not publicly supporting Gunplay’s GoFundMe or helping take care of his child’s medical bills.

“Why you talking crazy about me my brother?” Gunplay pressed Envy during the call. “What I had to do with anything, and my wife posting a GoFundMe? My baby was sick. She had a heart defect. That has nothing to do with cars. You know I’ll slap the shit out you, boy! Envy, for real, you know I’ll slap the shit out of you, right?”

Envy responded: “We can fight, but that’s not the reason I’m saying that… I wasn’t trying to disrespect you. I wasn’t talking about your daughter. If you feel like you were disrespected, I’m talking to you like a man. I would never. If you feel I did, I apologize. That wasn’t my intention.”

The leaked conversation could potentially result in Gunplay facing up to five years in prison, as it’s against the law to record a person’s private phone call without their permission in the state of Florida.
