Ghostface Killah Taps Kanye West, Nas, Method Man & More For ‘Set The Tone’ Tracklist

Ghostface Killah has recruited an all-star lineup of guests for his upcoming solo album Set the Tone.

The Wu-Tang Clan legend shared more details about the project on Tuesday (May 7), including its release date, cover art and tracklist.

Some of the big names on the 15-track album include Kanye West, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Jim Jones, Remy Ma, Ja Rule, Sheek Louch and AZ.

Fans can also expect cameos from fellow Wu-Tang cohorts Method Man and Raekwon.

“Thank you to everyone who helped put this project together and every talented artist that jump in the fire with me !!” Tony Starks wrote on Instagram.

Set the Tone is set to be released on Friday (May 10) through Nas’ Mass Appeal Records. Check out the artwork and full tracklist below.

Ghostface Killah announced the album last week and released the first single, the Nas-assisted “Scar Tissue.”

“HOLD TIGHT THIS ALBUM HAS FIRE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE,” he wrote on Instagram, fueling excitement for the project.

Set the Tone is the veteran MC’s 12th solo album and first since 2019’s Ghostface Killahs, though he has stayed busy contributing features to songs by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Westside Gunn and Dave East in the years since.

Ghostface had previously been teasing Supreme Clientele 2 — the long-awaited sequel to his 2000 opus — and said it would be executive produced by Kanye West and Mike Dean.

“SUPREME CLIENTELE 2 IS EXECUTIVE PRODUCED BY: KANYE WEST, MIKE DEAN & PRODUCERPLUGUNI.COM. RELEASE DATE: FEB 2022,” he announced during a Q&A with fans on Reddit back in 2021.

That date obviously came and went without the album, and it remains to be seen if the Kanye feature on Set the Tone is from the sessions for Supreme Clientele 2.

The 53-year-old is also set to release his memoir later this month. Titled Rise of a Killah, the book is described as a “visual record and a real-feel narrative of a performer’s life.”

    1. Kendrick gonna end up in the same place as nas where he becomes irrelevant after getting fame off of being a drake hater aka nas being a jay z hater. In the end, jay z still winning while nas losing

      1. “Jay z still winning while nas losing”… so why do you feel the need to type it down if it is so obvious dummy?

      2. FUCKOUTTAHERE with Nas losing. Na slast 6 albums is better than anything the past 15+ years Jay has ever released. SHo wme Anything close with jazy z with 6 albums that touches KD and magic collection,. You high off that dirt weed or what? Remove bias and be objective, NAs is the GOAT.

    2. Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Kanye West, Ja Rule and Jim Jones… these features lost me. WTF did you think Dennis?? These bubble gum so-called rappers are the Lil Uzi, Quavo, 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj of their generation. You could have get some rappers such as Q-Tip, Black Thought, Pharoahe Monch or Yasiin Bey instead of these cornball motherfxckers. It ruins the hype for this new album.

    3. Fux wit you heavy Tone but knock it off with these features. Joe, Jim, and Rem raps better be up to par.

    4. Not going to lie, most of the features would be an instant skip in my book, buuut, this is Ghostface Killah on Mass Appeal. They surely have some quality control, so I need to believe this will be a banger

      1. This album starts nice but the Nas track is the ultimate pump fake. The last 10 songs on this album are all bad r and b and modern sounds that completely miss.

      1. Only Built 4 Cuban Linx was a “real Wu” album and featured Nas. Tical had Mary J on it. The W had Redman, Nas, Jr Reid, Isaac Hayes.

    5. Get Ghost, Nas, and Meth on an album and I’m there for it. Miss me with Kanye though. Dude is ungood.
