Ghostface Killah is gearing up to release a new album, and its first single will feature a fellow legend, Nas.
On Friday (May 3), Ghost will release “Scar Tissue” off his forthcoming effort, Set The Tone. The album will be the Wu-Tang Clan rapper’s first release on Nas’ Mass Appeal imprint, so the linkup is now in-house.

“HOLD TIGHT THIS ALBUM HAS FIRE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE….” Ghost said of the effort in an Instagram post announcing the single with a snippet.
“Bottles of sangria/Monsters jumping out of trucks like a consigliere/Pasta, prawns over lobsters/Oysters, diamond chips, smuggled all in the fish into cold boxes,” he raps on the preview.

Set The Tone will be Ghostface Killah’s 12th studio album, and will follow 2019’s Ghostface Killahs LP. Released by Now Generation Music Corporation, the project featured appearances from the likes of Method Man, Cappadonna, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa and more.
Up next for the legendary rapper is his memoir, set to be released on May 14. Rise Of A Killah, described as a “visual record and a real-feel narrative of a performer’s life” per a press release, will be published by Macmillan.
The book will add to the Clan’s growing catalogue of literature. In 2018, U-God put out Raw: My Journey Into the Wu-Tang Clan, which saw the veteran MC reflecting on his place in the group, among other things. Three years later, in 2021, Raekwon dropped From Staircase to Stage: The Story of Raekwon and the Wu-Tang Clan, adding yet another angle to the saga. This is in addition to several books by RZA, including The Wu-Tang Manual.
