Houston, Texas Hip Hop pioneers the Geto Boys last album released over five years ago, in 2005’s The Foundation. The 25 year-old group’s most famous lineup of Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick Bill reunited for an independent release which scored a Top 20 debut on the Billboard 200.
The Foundation‘s second single, “G-Code,” produced by Scarface has reappeared in a new Chrysler campaign. The song plays in instrumental form as Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh drives one of the car company’s latest models. The Rap-A-Lot Records song was reportedly a diss to fellow Houston rapper Lil Troy.
