The Game Shows Love To 50 Cent & Dr. Dre While Celebrating ‘The Documentary’ Anniversary

The Game has shown some love to 50 Cent and Dr. Dre for helping bring his dreams to life on the 18th anniversary of his major label debut, The Documentary.

On Wednesday (January 18), the Compton native took to Instagram to celebrate the album by reflecting on its recording process and what it took to get the project done. According to The Game, his main goal was to tell his story and give his son a chance to live a different life than his father had.

He also saluted 50 Cent and Dr. Dre for everything they did to help him out. Both 50 and Dre served as executive producers on the album, and The Game was also signed to G-Unit and Aftermath, respectively.

“18 years ago today…. A hip hop classic was born,” The Game captioned his post. “All I wanted to do was tell my story & make sure my son would never live the life I did. @snoopdogg passed me the torch, @bustarhymes kept me focused… @drdre laid the foundation & @50cent helped put the puzzle together.”

He continued: “I took @jonathanmannion to the depths of Compton, California & showed him the heart of what I survived. He captured the essence of my city, my hood & brought to the world my vision. Always remember, it is no longer a dream once it becomes reality.”

Despite showing love to 50 and Dre, The Game has thrown plenty of shots at them in the past. One of the most recent incidents saw Game claim that Kanye West did more for him than Dr. Dre on an episode of Drink Champs.

“It’s crazy that Ye did more for me in the last two weeks than [Dr.] Dre did for me my whole career,” he told the Drink Champs crew. A few months later, he admitted during a conversation on the I Am Athlete podcast that he was hurt by Dre not inviting him to perform with him at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2022.

“The real reason I wasn’t on the Super Bowl is because I’m not a ‘safe’ artist,” he said. “You don’t know what Game gon’ do when he get up there. They went with the ‘safe’ artists.”

As for 50 Cent, The Game called the G-Unit boss a “bitch” whilst performing at a recent concert in Houston, Texas.

“I’m a tell everybody in here: I still don’t fuck with 50 Cent. He a bitch n-gga,” Game said. “It ain’t no cut with that n-gga. Next time we in the same place n-gga, shit getting thrown. I don’t fuck with that n-gga, he a sucker n-gga.”

Game continued: “I’m a say it in Houston, I’ll say it in New York, I’ll say it anywhere n-gga, that n-gga’s a straight bitch. And I like the TV show. N-gga, now put that on the internet.”

    1. “Remember, it is no longer a dream once it becomes reality”… No kidding dumbass?! Thanks for stating the obvious. What it’s gonna be the next time: “It is no longer hot when it becomes cold” ??! For real these rappers can’t be taken seriously SMH

    2. This bul tha worse, bipolar, set/strip/coast hopper. We know 50 threw the lifeline and wrote the whole documentary damn near, so it’s should be named:
      THE GAME COST 50 CENT
Snoop only handed you the torch to pass to Kendrick.

    3. Not even a 20th or 25th anniversary. Randomly on the 18th one, and this lame wanna drop some names for clout. As if anyone knew or cares that The Documentary is 18 yo now. If this ni99a don’t take his 9ay bipolar @$$ the FOH. smh

      1. Living up to his stage name. Pure entertainment and boredom on his part, possibly trying to align him self with ‘game changers’ inorder to create opportunities for himself.

        Convoluted, I know!🤣

    4. Anyone ever here the recent 50 cent ‘Higher’ song he actually rapped but gave it to game for “the documentary”.. That’s a cappp … game still can’t believe it’s not 2005 not more..

      1. Its not a classic and it didn’t change the game. It just regurgitated elements from Get Rich or Die Tryin and 2001. Its an assembly line rap album from a factory thug begging for cosigns.

    5. Now 50 and Dre helped him. Last week they could duck his sick. Get your borderline fixed, nooka!

      1. And you can bet your ass that next month he’ll be shit talking 50 Cent while he just minds his own business as Gayme SHOULD be doing
