Herbo (real name Herbert Wright III) was ordered to appear in a Massachusetts court on Wednesday for a separate gun charge in Chicago, where a plea agreement laying out the terms of the wire fraud deal was also filed by prosecutors.

The wire fraud count carries up to 20 years, but Herbo would likely face two to three years in prison under federal sentencing guidelines.

A plea hearing has been tentatively set for July 27 before U.S. District Judge Mark G. Mastroianni.

The plea comes over two years after G Herbo was indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, with the charge of lying to agents added in a separate indictment in 2021.

Herbo and five others were accused of using stolen identities to make up to $1.5 million in fraudulent charges for goods and services, including private jet trips, a personal chef, a vacation at a Jamaican villa and puppies from a business in Michigan.

He denied wrongdoing at the time he was charged and also referenced the allegations on a song called “Statement” that was released in December 2020.

Let’s talk about them jets, yeah, let’s talk about Jamaica/ Ask about me, I ain’t never been a fraud/ I went hard from the start/ In my city I’m a God, muthafucka/ If you know, you know,” he rapped on the song.

The charges claimed G Herbo lied to a federal agent in November 2018 about his relationship with promoter Antonio Strong, who was the alleged mastermind behind the identity theft scheme.

The 26-year-old falsely said he never gave Strong any money and never received anything of value from him, as well as claiming they had no direct relationship.

As for his Chicago gun case, G Herbo was arrested on July 9 after police officers discovered a Glock 33 in his vehicle during a traffic stop, which stemmed from him failing to display a turn signal.
