G Herbo has a new smile just in time for the new year.

On Tuesday (December 19), a video posted to Instagram by Chicago-based dentist Ogbonna Bowden, a.k.a. Da Smile Boss, showed the Humble Beast rapper undergoing dental treatment, replacing his teeth with pearly new whites.

“Just like art, the name of the dental game is ‘patience.’ As you practice patience, make sure you trust the process,” wrote Bowden in the caption, before offering a cautionary tale emphasizing the importance of preventative care.

“You didn’t damage your teeth in a day {in most cases} therefore you can’t fix your entire dental problem in a day! Technology has changed, but the foundation is still depending on YOUR dental upkeep and you prioritizing your dental health!

Unfortunately for G Herbo, he’s had plenty of reasons not to smile this year. The 28-year-old has faced a string of legal troubles, including being arrested on gun charges and pleading guilty in his wire fraud case.

The rapper also broke up with his fiancée Taina Williams — with whom he shares two children — and caught flak for his behavior during an interview with comedian Funny Marco.

Despite the drama, Herbo has still managed to remain active musically in 2023, dropping his Strictly 4 My Fans 2 mixtape in April while appearing on songs with Travis Scott, Future, Trippie Red and more.

He’s also added to his growing collection of accolades, with his “Who Want Smoke??” collaboration with Nardo Wick being certified triple platinum, marking his highest-selling song to date.

G Herbo is far from the only rapper to invest in a set of new teeth. Back in February, Juelz Santana finally fixed his smile after losing a number of teeth in recent years due to drug use.

That same month, Lil Pump dropped $25,000 on a set of porcelain veneers after a visit to 5 Star Smiles in his hometown of Miami, Florida.
