G Herbo and his legal team have requested a sit-down with the feds to discuss a potential plea deal in his pending fraud and identity theft case.

HipHopDX has obtained documents from the United States District Court in the District of Massachusetts with regard to Case No. 20-30033-MGM, which features the rapper (real name Herbert Wright III) and five other defendants.

The documents reveal that attorneys for the “Pull Up” rapper have requested — and ultimately, received — their request for a Rule 11 hearing, also known as a Waiver of Indictment hearing, which is “designed to promote the speedy and orderly disposition of cases at a time certain which is most convenient to all parties, and to that end it calls upon defendants’ counsel to aid the court in the disposition of all preliminary motions and other matters relative to pending cases,” per the Massachusetts Criminal Procedure.

The Rule 11 hearing — which, so far, has only been requested by G Herbo — will take place on or after June 12, 2023. As of time of publishing, it’s too soon to tell whether the rapper will receive — or even accept — a plea deal, what the plea deal will entail, or whether he will serve jail time.

Check out the documents below:

G Herbo has been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and two counts of aiding and abetting aggravated identity theft, which he was handed after turning himself into authorities back in December 2020.

The Chicago native has been accused of conspiring to get a private villa in Jamaica in 2017 with a stolen credit card through his music promoter Antonio Strong, as well as allegedly working with Strong to buy two “designer puppies” from a luxury pet store with a stolen credit card.

A rep for the rapper said at the time of his arrest in a statement to TMZ: “[G Herbo] maintains his innocence and looks forward to establishing his innocence in court.”

Though G Herbo has his fair share of legal issues to contend with at the moment, he’s still quite confident in his rapping abilities.

In fact, last month, he took to his Instagram stories to assert his superiority behind the mic, keeping things plain and simple, posting: “I REALLY FEEL IM THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE NBS” on a black background.

The Survivor’s Remorse rapper has good reason to believe in himself as much as he does, especially after Nicki Minaj hopped on the remix to his “Chiraq” single.

G Herbo was only 17 at the time of his collaboration with Nicki, and the record pushed him into the limelight. The now 27-year-old spoke about the track and how important it was to him during a recent interview with Elliott Wilson on Tidal Check-In.

“Definitely shout out to Nicki for that,” G Herbo said. “That was like my first big break, you know what I’m saying, and that just go to tell you how long I’ve been just trying to get on that path of stardom.”

He added: “But man, that’s one of those records that just gave me confidence as an artist. To see if I could actually do it or not, rap toe-to-toe with the best of ’em. Nicki a female MC, but she still like the hardest ever, and she harder than a lot of male MCs. For me, to be able to get on a track with her and hold my own, it just gave me confidence to keep going.”
