G-Dep Maintains Not Guilty Plea In 1993 Murder, Trial Set For November 10th

Despite turning himself over to police in December 2010 for a murder he committed in 1993, rapper G-Dep is refusing to plead guilty because prosecutors won’t cut him a break.

According to DNAInfo.com, the 36-year-old turned himself in to clear his conscience of shooting a man in an attempted robbery, only to later learn that the attack was fatal. The DA’s office said it would only offer a plea deal for the top count – murder in the second degree – which could put him behind bars for 25 years to life.

It is my understanding that the parties have not been able to reach an agreement,” Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Michael Obus said. “The people are not willing to offer anything other than a plea to the [top count].”

A trial date is set for November 10th.

    1. “Trail set”? What “trail” Horowitz, the one running from your mom’s snatch to her sternum?

Q: did you flunk Hebrew School this badly too?

      1. Lol not really, but I mean the repetition of it is highly unprofessional. If you wanna be unprofessional, then you won’t have a job in the future. Let’s see who’s the “goof” then.

    2. You turn yourself in but you don’t want to plea guilty? Then WHY turn yourself in? Did he think he was gonna get probation or something? Dumb ass…

I bet he walked into the police station singing Special Delivery

    3. All I can say is if he couldnt face the time why turn yourself in at all. What was he expecting from a murder that he admitted to and turned himself in for. Them white folks not about to give him a break on a murder charge.

      1. true dat, they would like to put as many brotha’s as they can in jail, this cat just helped himself, thought he was doing the right thing, it’s real ironic.
