    1. Gibbs is the only rapper that could be standing next to both Young Jeey & Madlib and seem right where he belongs either way

Not very many gangster rappers got lyrics and flow like that, Gibbs is the only new rapper worth watching for a 90’s head like myself

    2. Dude this sounds like a sick project! Looking forward too it. I have checked out Gibbs a bit. I want to go download some of his music and listen to it. What Mixtape or Album should grab first?

      1. Midwesterngangstaboxframecadillacmusik (or whatever it’s called) is a good starting point. Cold Day in Hell that just came out is pretty great too.

      2. ..and if you like underground shit with boom bap beats, check out his EP with Statik Selektah. It’s called Lord Giveth, Lord Taketh Away. they made that shit in 24 hours.

      1. But dude had a lotta choices….he was a hot commodity and he signed with the Southern Detox of rap who has never had success promoting his own artists.

    3. “Specifically I was talking about DJ Khaled, if people wanna know,” Gibbs tweeted
“[Rick Ross] makes good records, but I just can’t support no bold-faced lying on records,” Gibbs said. “I guess he’s entertaining people. It’s like a movie, like ‘Scarface.’ He can have that fake lane. I’ll stay in the real lane. We got a non-fiction lane of rap, that’s how I’m looking at it now. So you got that fiction lane over there where they’re doing all them. I do the non-fiction, the autobiography, the real sh**.”

One of your recent tweets read: “Who are you? Rick Ross, Big Meech or Larry Hoover? the rap game is like halloween every day?”
Freddie Gibbs: This the same dude that told you he knew Noriega when he first came out, so…
Freddie Gibbs: Rap’s so fucking watered down right now, you can be a motherfucking C.O., you can kiss a nigga, and as long as you making good music, these niggas don’t give a fuck.
These dudes have those machines behind them and those marketing dollars behind them to dress their fake shit up.

    4. Freddie Keeping The People Guessin.

      True Artist.

Madlib Been THAT Dude Since 2000.

      MadGibbs Da Album…. Lets Goooo!

    5. I’m glad to see the company the Freddie is keeping, some real hip hop producers. I hope his full length is a blessing to hip hop. I didn’t cotton to cold day in hell when it first dropped, it still doesn’t grab me as much as some of his other projects, but this is great news.
