Former Los Angeles Clipper Stephen Jackson Addresses Donald Sterling In Rap Song

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has been fielding criticism about his recent racial comments from the public and now, the commentary has extended into the realm of Hip Hop music.

Former Clipper and known rapper Stephen Jackson recently released a song about his former boss and his comments in the track were definitely not in his favor.

“Dear Mr. Sterling, here’s a speech for you,” Jackson raps in the song entitled “America Da Beautiful.” “I had a dream the Klan had a sheet for you.”

Later in the track, Jackson mentions his former teammates and that one of the greatest parts about being in the NBA is the ability to share the hardwood with people of different backgrounds.

“The best part of my career was being able to play with a lot of guys from different countries, different places, different races. That was the best part about it,” he raps toward the end of the track.

Stephen Jackson played for eight different teams as a professional basketball player. He played for the Clippers for nine games across two separate 10-day contracts this season. He’s been in the NBA for 14 years.

Jackson has released rap music in the past. In 2009, he was featured on the remix of Playaz Circle’s 2009 song “Duffle Bag Boy (Nike Sport Remix)” with Lil Wayne and in 2011, released a mixtape under the moniker Stak5 called What’s A Lockout?, which was hosted by DJ Scream.

Donald Sterling was banned for life by the NBA last week for his comments and fined $2.5 million.
