Flavor Flav pulled up to Eminem’s Detroit restaurant and showed his fellow MC some love by referring to him as the best in the business.
On Tuesday (August 22), the Public Enemy veteran shared a video of him standing in front of a neon sign that reads “Mom’s Spaghetti,” which is the name of Em’s joint. In the clip, the 64-year-old legend addressed the Grammy-winning hitmaker, complimenting his food and paying tribute to his skills as a rapper.
“Eyo Eminem, Flavor Flav right here in yo spot eating some Mom’s Spaghetti while it’s still hot,” he said. “An yo, let me tell you something, it’s some real good spaghetti, Eminem, I ain’t gonna lie, G, know what I’m sayin.’ Y’know I had to come and support you, man, word up.”
He then switched gears and talked about Shady’s music, saying: “And thank you for shoutin’ me out in your records, man. You be shoutin’ Flavor Flav out in your records, man. I love you, man, y’know what I’m sayin.’ You the best rapper alive, bro, you need to know that, y’know what I’m sayin.’”
Last year, Eminem brought Mom’s Spaghetti to New York for a pop-up in honor of 8 Mile’s 20th anniversary. The temporary outlet was set up from November 10–20 at the Shopify space in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood.
Em first announced plans of opening a Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant back in 2017, and it finally became a reality when he inaugurated the eatery’s first brick-and-mortar shop in Detroit in 2021.
The name of the brand is pulled from Eminem’s seminal hit, “Lose Yourself,” which was born from the classic battle rap movie, 8 Mile, that hit theaters on November 8, 2002.
“Lose Yourself” would go on to be the first rap song to win Best Original Song at the 2003 Oscars. It would then win Best Rap Song and Best Male Rap Solo Performance at the 2004 Grammy Awards and earn Slim Shady his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
“Lose Yourself” has since been certified 13x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), while the 8 Mile soundtrack itself is currently 4x platinum.
Thats it, the white rapper argument is officially dead. The face of the most woke pro-black group in hip hop history just called Eminem the best rapper alive. I never wanna see this site entertain another argument about Eminem’s skin color again.

Eminem being white is not the issue in my opinion it’s a lot of his casual fans that are the problem and made it hard for him to get props, rather than listening to his lyrics they bleached their hair and could never remember his bars or would quote an average sing along track he done, take the article it self yes loose yourself sold him a ton and was this billboard at number 1, but when quoting his work in the argument for the greatest it’s a weak entry and every track they usually do is, Eminem is a beast of an MC!!! For me hands down infinite (Yes most will argue that he sounds like AZ on that album but whatever) and the slim shady LP was his greatest works, role model is a pure example as well as tracks he’s featured on and absolutely bodied i.e. dead wrong and renegade, but most impressive of all Eminem has stayed sharp throughout the ages and has still got it, so yes he can claim to be the best…. Now saying that a lot of the artist he’s competing with for this GOAT status have already retired or passed long ago plus that golden era of rap from 91 till about 2008 is done and Em was part of that so to even be placed in that top 5 dead or alive is a feat in itself do you know how many talented rappers were in that time period we were so spoilt it will never happen again (I’m shedding tears right now) but there’s still hope 🙏🏾 plus Eminem still around to chin check these new MC’s when they disrespect the art 👑
