Fivio Foreign has responded to Pop Smoke‘s brother after he called him out for allegedly unfollowing the late rapper on social media.
In a video posted online, Pop’s older brother Obasi Jackson put Fivio on blast for the move, saying: “Yo, I just woke up, but that is actually true. I just looked at his following; he’s not following Pop or Mike Dee.

“I mean, fuck Mike Dee. But Pop? Word? Fivio?! Yo, we gotta do something about this fake shit, gang. N-ggas not gonna show their face at Pop Smoke Day. What’s going on, bro?!”
Fivio, who has been vocal about how much Pop’s murder affected him, was quick to set the record straight.
In Instagram comment, he wrote: “That n-gga is weirdo don’t believe shit them cornballs that want attention say.. Pop ain’t follow that goofball when he was alive.
“Tell [him to] stop goin pop smoke crazy after death for the clout boy hated his own brother and pop [ain’t] fucc w this lame head ass n-gga.”
The Brooklyn drill star then posted a picture of him and Pop Smoke and wrote: “What’s understood ain’t never been explained… Woo forever my movie.”
Fivio later expanded on his issues with Pop’s brother on Instagram Live, saying: “Don’t come on here asking me about no goofy Pop Smoke brother that Pop Smoke never even followed. Don’t ask me about none of them goofy n-ggas.

“A lot of you n-ggas gonna have to come outside one day. When y’all come outside, I’ll be right there. I’ma be right there like chicken and beer [laughs].”
“Y’all talking about a follow. Look at this, I have ‘The smoke will never clear’ on my chest,” he added while showing off his tattoo in honor of Pop Smoke. “Y’all talking about a follow? I don’t know how they unfollow. I know I went through a season of following zero people. I don’t even care.”

Fivio Foreign previously opened up about the impact of Pop Smoke’s death during an appearance on Gillie Da Kid and Wallo‘s Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast in 2022.
“I was just in the studio with him, me, him and Polo [G] the night before,” he explained. “He was in New York the night before it happened. He flew out and I didn’t know he flew out, so when I saw the shit on Instagram and I saw n-ggas reposting it, I’m like, ‘Why n-ggas posting fake news like that?’”

He continued: “I know the n-gga not in L.A. Home invasion, but he don’t live in L.A.? It was true and I’m like, ‘Oh shit.’ I was getting so many calls, and that’s when I knew it was really true with the calls I was getting. That shit hit hard. It hit everybody hard.”
Pop Smoke (real name Bashar Jackson) was fatally shot during a home invasion in Los Angeles in February 2020, cutting short the career of one of Hip Hop’s hottest new talents. He was just 20 years old at the time.
