Eve Ordered to Wear Alcohol Monitoring Device

Yesterday (June 28), rapper Eve pled no contest to a DUI charge in Los Angeles Superior Court. The charge stemmed from an arrest in April on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing her car on Hollywood Boulevard.

According to TMZ.com, Eve, represented by her lawyer, was ordered by a judge to wear an alcohol monitoring device on her ankle for 45 days, as well as pay $1,400 in fines and penalties.

In addition, Eve is required to take a first offender alcohol education program, and was given 36 months of “informal” probation.

Eve is gearing up to release her fourth studio album, titled Here I Am. The album, which features Swizz Beatz, Pharrell, Sean Paul, T.I., Robin Thicke and Timbaland, will be released on Geffen Records on August 7th.
