Eminem Makes Rare Public Appearance To Honor 50 Cent At Walk Of Fame Ceremony

The name Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is now among the hundreds of stars included on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The veteran Hip Hop artist received the honor on Thursday (January 30) in front of the W Hotel near the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street where his star is located.

To celebrate the occasion, 50’s longtime friend and collaborator (oh yeah — and one of the biggest artists in the world) Eminem made a rare public appearance to show his support, making a few jokes along the way.

“I just want to say I’m here today because this is not only a business partner to me, it’s one of the best friends I’ve ever known in the world,” he said in a video captured by 92.3 FM The Real. “I would say that it’s much more fun to be his friend than it is to be his enemy ’cause this guy is fucking relentless and he won’t stop. And in the same way he’s relentless in his battles, he’s also relentless in his business.

“He’s an artist, an entrepreneur, an actor, a director, a producer … he can juggle, he’s great at Scrabble — he pretty much does it all. And he’s also helped through a lot of hard times in my life and he’s always been there when I need him. So 50, congrats on your star, man. Hollywood made it official, but I knew from the beginning. Dre knew from the beginning.”

(At some point, someone yells “Fuck Ja Rule! from the audience.)

Dr. Dre, who was also in attendance, looked on with admiration for both MCs. While delivering his acceptance “speech” — which actually turned out to be several pieces of blank paper — 50 thanked Em, Dre and Jimmy Iovine for their support.

The normally jovial Fiddy was nearly moved to tears as he spoke about his career.

    Watch the full speech below.

    1. “crack a bottle” was wack and “psycho” was just okay, but I’d love to hear a collaboration between all three of them in 2020.

      1. Don’t forget Gatman..Em is a little bit out of touch when it comes to making his own beats but he killed that Batman beat

    2. Salute to Curtis for making it so far. A former crack dealer from Queens with a star among Hollywoods finest. He knows he’s not supposed to be there, he almost died and they tried to blackball him from the industry.

      1. Nobady tried to blackball 50, you blackball yourself when you get shot 9 times and gangsters are after you.
No label wanted to deal with that shit back then.

        1. Wrong. He put out “how to rob” as one of his first singles. The Wu, terror squad and basically all of NY wasn’t fucking with him. Many say the reason Jam Master Jay was killed was due to his support of 50. Think before speaking.

    3. No matter what we think about Fif dude really was a certified goon back in the now he got a Hollywood star. who woulda thought

        1. Didn’t eminem rap about being abused like thousands of times? How is OP projecting? Or was it all just BS for shock value attention?

          1. He said touched in his no no spot, as in molested. Different from being abused or gay. Hence the guy thinking about how someone was molested or touched in a gay way was molested and is gay for thinking it. That’s projecting. Em has never said, neither had anyone else ever other than chomo up here, that em was molested, because it’s on Chester A.K.A. Diddle’s mind. Cleared up for you?

        1. Back to science class you rug rat, no time for kiddies stupid take om a 48 year olds choice in hats and clothes. Who’s the Dyke here anyways?

          1. Why does my personal opinion of a celebrity offend you? It’s just an opinion lol, no need to take it personal…

      1. He’s rockin the infamous Dr. Phil hairline so he must keep the hats on, just like Memphis Bleek, Ghostface Killah, B-Real etc the list goes on the grown ass men with the childish ass hats. If you want proof of Em’s balding head you can see it on the music video of Drop the World i think it was, he has his hairy dyed black and he is walking a corridor / hallway with the light coming down from above him and you can see he’s seriously thinning on top. That’s why he always wear hats unless its some special event like some big award show or some video shoot he then puts on a hair piece.

    4. It was good to see this. 50 showed some emotion. He’s human after all. It was good to see Eminem supporting him. He doesn’t make much public appearances.

    5. How they never take Don Juan to jail they know this mfer p I m pin lmao

Salute 50 was one of the 1st to hear how to rob on cassette and knew you was going blow

    6. How much does Interscope pay this site man for real? “Eminem makes rare public appearance” FOH. They make headlines and stories like this for Em all the time too. It aint even a good look when they do either lol.
