Eminem Joins Forces With British Red Cross To Support Manchester Bombing Victims

Eminem may not be an active component of social media (or regular media in general) but don’t peg the reclusive rap legend for being naive of the happenings of the world around him.

The heinous act of terror that occurred in Manchester at the top of the week during an Ariana Grande concert has put the entire world on notice, with ISIS claiming responsibility for the bombing that left 22 adults and children dead and more than 100 injured.

Taking to his sparsely used Twitter account, Marshall Mathers showed his humane side by urging his 20-million-strong following to donate through the British Red Cross as well the Manchester News Desk.

“Join me in helping Manchester victims & their families, Make a donation to the @BritishRedCross and @MENnewsdesk,” Slim Shady tweeted as the outlined goal of £2,000,000 ($2,562,650 USD) had been set.

As of press time, 85 percent of the goal (£1,712,623) had been raised.

To assure the world that the money was actually going to its intended cause, the Manchester Evening News released a statement on the JustGiving website.

“We have been assured by the British Red Cross that every penny raised by our fund will go to the families of those affected by Monday’s terrible attack. It will form part of the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, launched by Manchester City Council and British Red Cross. Together we can make the greatest impact to help people affected by this devastating attack. Manchester City Council and British Red Cross both have experience in administering funds in emergencies and we want to make sure people get the help they need as soon as possible.”

    1. I would swim the entire Pacific Ocean with no life jacket for a new, non-yelling, straight bars, Eminem album! Just saying.

      1. People always say this yelling shit like Em didn’t always yell, he always did. Go back and listen, I doubt that the people who say this were even big Em fans at all tbh because how could you forget the MMLP? Stan, The Way I Am, Remember Me, I’m Back, Amityville, Kim, Criminal? Go listen, he’s yelling liking a mother fucker throughout those songs. It’s a bullshit argument with no basis in reality, just so called Eminem fans who turned into hater apologists to fit in on Internet forums.

        1. Yeah I never understood that criticism either, Em has always yelled over beats (Infinite and SSLP aside). Personally I’d rather listen to Em yelling punchlines than the current crop of mumbling rappers that you can barely hear over the beat. At least Em actually rhymes with some passion and enthusiasm for his craft even if his lyrical content is nothing more than “show your skill” fodder these days. And that “non-yelling, straight bars Eminem album” was what you got on his last release.

        2. Completely different forms of yelling and you’re fooling yourself if you think differently. Em used to flow so effortlessly, Kim and Stan are two examples of that . . . two songs where it didn’t even feel as if he was rapping at all, just having a conversation. Listen to ‘Stan’ then go listen to ‘Bad Guy’ and tell me Em’s flow hasn’t been butchered.

          1. Stopped taking you seriously the moment you said “Kim” sounds like a conversation. What? lol

      2. im not worried about the yelling so much as the flows on point and the lyrics are close to like shady cypher bars. he makes albums for angry teenagers he needs to step up to mans work

    2. a lots of people saying eminem is trash now and his album are not good enough but you should know no matter how good you are some day you gone be trash like jay z nas eminem kanye snoop dogg dr dre – and in the future like 15 years from now artist like
kendrick_ cole gone be trash too

    3. Gonna need some more Trump. This sheist is intollerable. Jay nas em dre should all go on stage whith Trump to do this huge show just before launching a huge war on IS. That way u get the black vote plus some dudes will sign in the army. We need some crazy gangsta dudes to fight for us imagine sending thousands of bloods and crips in Syria?

        1. Cause u like the idea. Parachute hundreds of MS13 vatos in the middle east and see what happens. IS will be listening to salsa and getting face tats

    4. giving money to the red cross is one of the biggest scams in history cause the red cross is a private institution that charges the victims for every fucking help they give and they charge big bucks, so why giving money to a private institution? maybe cause eminem is an idiot and he doesnt understand how the red cross operates
