Eminem, Jay-Z Secure Multiple Wins At The Grammy’s

At last night’s (February 13) 53rd annual Grammy awards, Hip Hop was of course a noticeable presence but seemed to miss out on the Grammy’s most notable awards.

B.o.B (“Nothin’ On You”), Eminem (“Love The Way You Lie”), Cee Lo Green (“Fuck You”), and Jay-Z (“Empire State Of Mind”) all lost Record of the Year to Tennessee country group Lady Antebellum (“Need You Now”).

Lady Antebellum also beat out Cee Lo Green’s “Fuck You” and Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” for Song of the Year.

Eminem was unable to beat rocker’s Arcade Fire to secure an Album of the Year Grammy for Recovery and rapper/singer Drake lost Best New Artist to jazz musician Esperanza Spalding.

It wasn’t all losses at the Grammy’s, producer Danger Mouse beat out Dr. Luke, Rob Cavallo, RedOne, and The Smeezingtons to clench the Grammy for Producer of the Year (Non-classical).

Other Grammy winners included Eminem for Best Rap Album, John Legend and The Roots for Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, Eminem for Rap Solo Performance, Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz for Rap Performance by a Duo or Group, and Jay-Z and Alicia Keys for Rap/Sung Collaboration and Rap Song.

The complete list of winners can be found at Grammy.com

      2. @Mandy- Blueprint 3 shouldnt have been up there in the first place- 1.)its garbage(mostly thanks to timbaland production) 2.)its full of guest appearences 3.)it CAME OUT IN SEPTEMBER OF 2009!!! if there was one album that deserved it it was Recovery, these people who nominate are deaf anyway if they actually listened BP3 and thank me later wouldnt have been nominated. In their place it would be Distant relatives and How I got over

    1. “Eminem, Jay-Z Secure Multiple Wins At The Grammy’s”

This statement means nothing. At all.

At least they gave Danger Mouse producer of the year, he was clearly superior to all other nominees in that category by a LARGE ASS MARGIN. No, seriously, how can Dr. Luke and RedOne even be considered CLOSE to him!

    2. I think the Grammy’s in general just aren’t that impressed with hip hop anymore. Sales are down. Anticipation is low. Most of these rappers are either in prison, or on their way. If it wasn’t for Eminem or Jay Z, I bet hip hop wouldn’t even be a category anymore at the Grammy’s.

    3. Dr.Dre= Old,Overrated, irrelevant and fake “rapper”/”producer”who makes headphones and tries to stay relevant by hyping an album for the past 10 years that will most likely be trash whenever it does drop.

    4. you guys are just sore loosers … face it! eminem is better than kid cudi and kanye west. fuck all the rest, they all suckk, its t.i eminem and B.O.B. owning the moneyyyy so if u got a problem u can suckkkk on it for years but u just got to go with the flow, stop making ur own flowww

    5. The Eminem and Dr. Dre Performance was straight trash, You couldnt hear either one of them, all of the other performances were quality with the exception of Bieber, Dre and Em. and The Roots “How I Got Over” should of been Rap album of the year.
