Eminem Celebrates Return Of One Of His ‘Favorite Rappers’: ‘Been Waiting For This’

Eminem has once again given props to one of his Hip Hop heroes, Redman, following the release of his new album Muddy Waters Too.

Never shy in praising those who came before him, the Detroit native took to social media over the weekend to celebrate the arrival of the long-awaited sequel to Reggie’s classic 1996 LP.

“One of my all time favorite rappers [goat emojis] … man I been waiting for this @therealredman #muddywaters,” Em wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

While Redman has yet to respond to the high praise, he did repost Em’s tweet.

Released on December 24, Muddy Waters Too clocks in at a mammoth 32 tracks and features an equally hefty supporting cast of rap legends.

The album boasts appearances from longtime collaborator Method Man, as well as Snoop Dogg, KRS-One, Faith Evans, Sheek Louch and Kid Capri.

There’s also an all-New Jersey posse cut featuring Queen Latifah, Shaquille O’Neal, Naughty By Nature, Rah Digga, Lords of the Underground and the Artifacts, among others.

Eminem has made no secret of his love for Redman over the years, famously ranking him among his favorite MCs on his 2002 hit “‘Till I Collapse.”

“I got a list, here’s the order of my list that it’s in / It goes: Reggie, JAY-Z, 2Pac and Biggie / AndrĂ© from OutKast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas, and then me,” he rapped.

Last year, Em was spotted wearing a T-shirt referencing his iconic rhymes — prompting a response from the former Def Squad rapper who who was selling the shirts in collaboration with NYC-based skateboarding store Richmond Hood.

“My Young Bro @eminem stay Repping and got his IT GOES REGGIE TEE!” he wrote on Instagram. “ONLY at www.Richmondhood.com. @richmondhoodco. If it ain’t got the Yellow Tag it’s a FAKE !! Fuck with the ORIGINALS.”

Eminem also previously spoke about his long-running admiration for Redman during a conversation with the man himself in 2015.

“I was cleaning out my closet, pun intended, and ran across this old picture,” he said on Shade 45 radio. “I was like, ‘What the fuck is? Oh shit.’ I realized, the first time I had ever went to New York, we went to Jersey [and] me and Bizarre went to record with the Outsidaz.

“And somehow, I can’t remember who we was in the car with, but I know Pace [Won] was with us and we actually ended up stopping by your house. So I’m like, ‘Oh shit. That’s the picture I took out the back window of your house on some fan shit.’ It was like, ‘Holy shit, that’s Redman’s house!’”

Redman replied: “You’re one of my favorite artists, too. Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ve got my support over here, brother.”

      1. First of all, nothing will come of these so-called comebacks. Secondly, if it would happen, they would be getting with the times. Prancing about on stage with purses like Young Phag.

    5. Yeah sounds great lol. I bet the track with Shaquille O’Neil is a banger. He is a known wordsmith and one of the top rappers in the game. I think Larry Bird is on the track too.

    7. Redman is in my top 3. One of the best naturally skilled MC’s of all time. Guys like Redman, Ghostface, and Biggie made me put the mic down.
