Drake posted an Instagram video this weekend of himself dancing to Kodak Black’s “SWRV” and tagged the rapper in his post.
Earl Sweatshirt took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the co-sign.
“drake found kodak black? smh welp,” he writes.
He then engages in discussion about why he doesn’t think Drake’s support is genuine.
“drake can be a bit of a vulture on young rap niggas and i don’t want lil kodak to be a victim of it,” he says.
One person suggests Drake is using his platform to help younger artists.
“I still feel like drake overall statement isn’t ‘check out this new shit I heard’ it’s always self serving,” Earl Sweatshirt responds.
“it’s not his job to develop them as artists,” he continues.” but the line between paying homage and wave riding is a blurry one.”

Kqwhut?
A Canadian taking all of America style? No way?
The song is “SKRT” not “SWRV”
Pure example of saying one small criticism about Drake and his fans turning into a pack of piranhas and attacking you.
real talk. and earl put it well, hes on point.
yeah, the same way Odd Future fans act when you criticize them.. lol
not sure much anymore but it was ridiculous a couple of years ago

This SweatSmellyShirt should knw his place
earl is straight hating. how is posting a video of him dancing to a relatively unheard of rapper “self-serving”? how is that negative? how is that vulture? thats showing love and respect period. he is putting a light on an unknown to get them new fans just as he did with def loaf, weeknd…these artists may have not even became a household name without drake’s endorsement. getting it all twisted is just jealousy. Eminem and Kendrick Lamar both had a following before Dr Dre lifted them up to superstardom. Does that make him a vulture? As usual, this is cuz Drake is a light-skin “disney-looking” Canadian dude running the rap game. some cant stand it. Used to like earl but he is sounding like a dumb bittee kid. you would expect more brains from a rich kid who went to an elite prep school.
No its jsut that you and our sensitive ass generation doesnt know the difference between hate and ciriticsm
Dej Loaf and The Weeknd already blew up without Aubrey, who is an opportunist who rides the waves of buzzing artists and steal their shime to make it about himself. And don’t compare them to Dre, Eminem, and Kendrick because Dre SIGNED those two. Aubrey didn’t sign Weeknd, Dej Loaf, and other rappers he supposedly put a light on. No one cares about how he looks and he’s not running shit at all.
Perfect example of Earl being self serving by inserting himself into the lives of people that are way above his head. He should uninsert Drakes dick from his mouth.
You should remove Drakes dick from your ass
clever
You Drake Stans are off the chain….
you do realize “off the chain” is a compliment right?
off the mental institution chain that they had originally
anyone who doesnt agree with Earl is an idiot, as it clear to see thats been Drake’s strategy forever…not to say everyone doesnt do it to stay hot, but when your on top like Drake and can completely eclipse someones light..then it becomes fucking with somones livelihood. Perfect exaample..Hotline Bling completely overshadowed DRAM’s Cha Cha…all of the other quote unquote remixes he has done..has helped him as much as they have helped those new artists. Tony Montana, Tuesday, Versace..it helped those artists of course, but Drake also knows that public perception is going to be that he helped those artists get mainstream attention..
man oh man..Drake hateration has no bounds…Hotline Bling sounds nothing like Dram’s song. They are not even recognizable as similar. If not for the Cha Cha remix declaration, who would even know? Nevermind that…how about all the rappers that jumped on “0 to 100″, ” Started from the Bottom”, “Coming Home” and ” We Made It” covers by Wiz, Jay-z, G-Unit etc. Werent these guys then jacking Drake then given that logic rather than showing homage??????????
0-100 was originally Puffy’s song and Drake bitch ass STOLE IT. What did Puffy do? He whooped Drake’s girly ass!
So yes, drake is a sneaky lil bastards that rides waves that he shouldnt be riding on just to get a lil fame.
You are a BlindFool
0 to 100 beat was made by Drake’s crew. Never Puffys beat. There is article in Vice where the beatmaker says Puffy turned it down. Even Puffy says he wanted Drake to ghostwrite his verses. damn..well-known. …haterz LOL
It’s well known? No you fool, that’s PUffy’s beat and he WHOOPED DRAKES ASS bc he took his shit. It was all over the internet, But you say otherwise. You are a lame fool

True indeed, You Aubrey Stans are soo in denial. Fact is the dude isn’t as creative as you think he is. It’s a con game. Dudes an actor. Remember that next time you see him on stage gettin all turnt up singing tracks bout “Rolling” through his hood that some one wrote for him.
And now a million ppl know of kodak black. If I was a rapper I’d appreciate drake helping me get a broader audience.

Went to see what this nigga was talking about. Didn’t see anything wrong with Drake throwing a young nigga a lil light, hell I never heard of him til now, like right now. Checked out his video on the tube….lil nigga instantly reminded me of Bobby Shmurda….
Well, that’s Drake’s M.O. anyway. Always hopping on the next gangsta rapper’s dick so he can get that hood love.
