Earl Sweatshirt has surprised fans with his Feet Of Clay EP, which arrives just under a year after his Some Rap Songs album was released. The seven-track project features collaborations with Mach-Hommy and Mavi.
“FOC is a collection of observations and feelings recorded during the death throes of a crumbling empire,” Earl said in a press release.
Fans can see the Odd Future member perform tracks from the EP at the 2019 Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles. His set will take place at the Gnaw Stage in Dodger Stadium on November 10.

I’m extremely torn on this… El Toro was probably the best track with that smooth beat and the Mavi feature helping carry Earl plus Alchemist also killed the 3rd track but EAST just simply gave me an aneurism and idek wtf the rest of this really was… All I know is I’m heading back to Some Rap Songs haha

Haven’t heard it yet but, this is just a different Earl. I don’t think we will ever hear that “rappity rap”, compound and multi syllabic, complex rhyme spitting Earl again. I don’t knock him at all for switching up his whole steelo because no one is listening to duke anyway. Some Rap Songs super flopped (it was good no doubt) but, nobody listened to that shit. What does it matter how Earl raps or how he chooses to make music nowadays? Nobody is gonna listen to that shit anyway. I’ll be surprised if this even charts. Mans dropped an EP out of nowhere, basically saying “fuck sales” and his fans. Shit would probably have had a higher debut if he actually promoted the shit. I fucks with Earl super tough. Just wish more people did.
Earl doesn’t care about sales or charts. He’s not making music for a wide audience. When SRS dropped he even said the album was made for black people.

First time I heard SRS I thought I was so disappointed that he didn’t go back to his Doris flow and hated it. After a year, it might be one of my favorite rap albums of the past 5 years. His new style is an acquired taste, but it’s dope.
favorite is valid, but i miss when i listened for his lyrics. Now it’s like I’m try to appreciate the beats with his voice as background to them. i listened to SRS like 100 times, but i dont go to it for lyrics as I did his previous 2 albums.
These last two albums are not horrible, but they’re not good either lol it just doesn’t work. His beats aren’t interesting enough to loop over and over again with average lyrics and delivery on top of it. It’s just not interesting enough to keep listening to his newer shit.
