DX News Bits: Suge Knight, Dr. Dre

    As part of a deal with Interscope Records and Hewlett-Packard, HP will be releasing an exclusive set of headphones and laptops that will include Beats By Dr. Dre [click to read] software.

    Like the Beats By Dr. Dre headphones that were released last year by Monster Cable, HP hopes that its new products will improve the quality of digital sound.

    “We have to fix the entire chain,”
    Interscope Records CEO Jimmy Iovine told CNET. “Our position is to go to all the sources and try to improve sound and educate people. We can’t put anything weak in the line. Whoever puts out things that sound bad shouldn’t be as cool as something that sounds great.”

    The laptops and headphones that will include Beats By Dr. Dre software will be released this fall.

    According to TMZ Suge Knight [click to read] will no longer be calling his Las Vegas mansion home now that the lavish house is on the market for $1,495,000.

    The home boasts a number of random facts: Robert Deniro once lived in the home, it’s been the location of a police raid, and Suge Knight resided in the home the night rapper Tupac Skakur was killed beside him.
