Drake To Headline Entirety Of London’s Wireless Festival With Special Guests

Drake is set to make history by headlining all three nights of London’s Wireless Festival, with some help from special guests.

Set to take place between July 11 and 13 in London’s Finsbury Park, the 20th anniversary edition of the festival will see Drizzy put on three very different shows across the weekend.

The first performance has been confirmed to feature PARTYNEXTDOOR, so expect the setlist to heavily feature songs from their new collaborative album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.

Fellow R&B singer Summer Walker is also expected to join the 6 God on stage during the opening night.

The Saturday night performance is billed as “Drake & The Mandem” and is widely expected to feature appearances from a number of British rappers the 6 God has collaborated with over the years, including Skepta, Giggs, Central Cee, Dave and Headie One.

The closing show looks like it is going to have more of an Afrobeats and Dancehall flavor as it is confirmed that Drake will be joined by Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel.

No other guests have been confirmed as of yet, while the remainder of the lineup will be released closer to the date of the festival.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday (February 19) via Wireless Festival’s official website.

While Drake has agreed to headline three whole nights of a festival across the pond, he was recently criticized for allegedly refusing to do the same at Rolling Loud, the premiere Hip Hop festival in the U.S.

Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif said on Big Boy’s Neighborhood last month: “I feel like Drake’s ducking us. I got no beef with Drake. I like Drake, I think he’s a great artist. We’ve been trying to book him forever. We even offered Drake ‘Three Nights of Drake’ once.”

He added: “They were like, ‘You need to make it special,’ [so we were like], ‘Alright, three nights of Drake! You’ll be the headliner for three nights!’”

Cherif did not reveal why Drake turned down the opportunity to essentially take over the festival.

      1. Popcaan was wasted signing with Drake it did nothing he did better not being under thr major label umbrella. Funny Pusha T/Travis sampling him was more of a push than Drake. World Boss need to end the alphabet and put Shenseea in her place i think she bad but stop trying Carribbean people to the alphabet and that goes for all these suburb kids claiming it. In NYC we don’t mess with that it’s boom bye bye up here!

      2. Popcaan got tons of shine under drake. Him signing to ye would have been as disastrous as Tanna Leone to pg lang

      3. No, Popcaan got tons of STDs from being under Drake’s nuts for too long unprotected. Kinda like you, Drake Runs Like A Girl

    1. You dont see kendrick headlining and entire festival let alone pay any attention to baby keem (where as drake did a whole album with partynextdoor despite not being sibling)

      1. Don’t know what you are talking about but the album is setting the record for most streams for a hiphop/r&b album. It’s currently on track for at least 700k in sales first week

      2. Most gay streams maybe. Straight men don’t listen to Drake only the gay ones

      3. Vultures 1 and 2 were way better this album was crap! Drake in general socks. He owes his career to Wayne and Ye. Listen to Vultures 1 and 2 over this.

      4. Only thing Drake has that Kendrick lost is his Nike deal. Does anyone buy Nocta? Kendrick’s line was bound to fail it was just a Cortez. Who is buying Drake’s line of clothes? They really were trying to make this man the next Jay and Diddy. Let’s hope they all get jailed because Jay somehow came back from Ether and went on to be mega rich. Drake has also had people offed like X and he’s like Tupac an actor turned wannabe gangster.

      5. Drake is the furthest thing from hip hop there is. He makes PM Dawn look like Run DMC by comparison.

      6. “You don’t see Kendrick headlining any festivals”. He just headlined the Superbowl hahaha you have to be trolling at this point
