Drake took some time to thank his longtime producer Noah “40” Shebib before releasing his VIEWS album.
In a lengthy Instagram post, the Toronto rapper expresses appreciation for all the ways the producer has supported him and encouraged his love for their city.
“Before we do this I just wanna say thanks man,” Drake says. “Thank you for the years you spent working with some of Toronto’s true legends honing your craft. Thanks you for dropping everything to work with me after we met and realized we had something special. Thank you for pushing yourself despite the fact you should be resting to achieve an end goal that we are both obsessed with. Thank you for listening to me vent and talking me off ledges. Thank you for talking me out of sending every good song I make to someone else [laughing emoji]. Thank you for reminding me that we set out to do something more than just have the biggest song in the club or the biggest song of the month. Thank you for building SOTA. Thank you for caring about the people in this city as much as I do. Thank you for a lifetime of hard work and surreal moments. This story would have gone a lot different without you. Thank you 40 (aka DB40 aka Cuarenta aka Bibber aka My brother). Text me when you are ready to start the next one [laughing emojis] @ovo40”
40 produced a majority of VIEWS and has crafted Drake’s other albums.
VIEWS is slated to premiere at 10:45 p.m. EST on Beats 1 radio. The album is set to release to Apple Music for exclusive streaming and to iTunes for purchase at midnight (April 29).

finally Drake flops. No slap in the 6 for summer 16. #yezzussuckedtoo
That is dope. I I’m glad to see that Drake doesn’t get a big head. He still is humble enough to recognize the people that have helped him get to where he is today, and to show appreciation to his inner circle. there are too many dudes out there that don’t share the credit, and make it look like they did it on their own. All boats rise together.
Well of course some white guy wrote all of Drake’s music.
40 is Arabic. Hence the last name Shebib

2 of the realest, most hardworking, most genuine dudes in the history of hip-hop. The amount of classic material these two have made together is unparalleled. 40 is underrated, and is easily one of the 5 best producers in the history of the game. 40 don’t sound like anybody else. He has his own unique production style, that just makes you want to vibe out to his tracks. Both so dedicated to their crafts and dedicated to keeping real soulful hip-hop alive.

I can’t stand drake…dude is fake and a disgrace to the culture at times…but I have nothing but respect for 40..dude is consistently working hard and he’s a big time contributor to the culture…respect
