Drake has announced that he’ll be dropping his first new single of 2023 at midnight ET on Friday (April 7), and the track’s already raising eyebrows.

In an Instagram post shared on Thursday (April 6), Drizzy revealed the cover art for “Search & Rescue,” which he previewed last week.

The cover art shows two people wearing motorcycle helmets, and one looks quite a bit like Kanye West‘s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian — and there may be a particular reason for that.

Drake previewed “Search & Rescue” — initially thought to be called “Rescue Me” — during an episode of Sound 42’s The Fry Yiy Show on SiriusXM Radio last Friday (March 31). Shortly after the first verse, Kim and her mother Kris Jenner are heard talking about Kim’s emotional state amid her divorce from Ye.

“I didn’t come this far, just to come this far and not be happy, remember that,” Kim says. The sample comes from the 2021 season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Check out the cover art below:

Kim and Ye’s seven-year marriage was officially dissolved in March 2022 as both parties were ruled to be legally single. They tied the knot with an extravagant wedding in Florence, Italy in 2014. The reality star filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021.

Although the sample on “Search & Rescue” has had people accusing the “God’s Plan” rapper of trolling West, Drake’s father Dennis Graham entered the fray earlier this week and insisted that his son wasn’t “trolling.”

“Drake is not trolling anyone, it’s just a song,” the 68-year-old allegedly wrote in an Instagram comment earlier this week in response to the narrative surrounding the song. “Why try and create a Kanye and Drake beef again??????????????? [palm face emojis].”

Drake previously shared a snippet of “Search & Rescue” on his Instagram Stories last month. The track was produced by BNYX, who is best known for his work with Yeat and Ty Dolla $ign.

Meanwhile, Kanye West is currently under fire once again — and this time, it’s due to its alleged dietary restrictions of his Donda Academy.

TMZ has obtained a copy of a lawsuit filed by two Black women who are suing the “Through the Wire” rapper’s embattled school for allegedly firing them on the basis of their race.

The two women, whose names have not been released, have also claimed that they were fired because they reported education, safety, and health code violations to the authorities.
